Miracles do happen

To the Editor:

This past Friday was the final day for the MHS Construction Technology classes to weatherproof the stadium storage building before the rains and high wind hit.

I was worried about getting the job done with several of my students absent to attend and wrestle at the state tournament.

Dave Shiplett of Ship-Shape Roofing and Painting called my dad and asked if we needed help before the storm. I couldn't have been happier, to say the least.

He showed up Friday afternoon as planned, and helped us lay down tar paper in a strong 40-mph south wind.

Dave — you're the best. Thanks so much for your time, roofing fasteners, and effort. We truly appreciate it.
