MMS wins final CVJL track meet

Marion Middle School hosted the final Cottonwood Valley Junior League track meet May 10 at Warrior Stadium.

The eighth grade boys won their fifth meet in a row to lead the Marion Wildcats to a final CVJL win. Defending division champions, the boys scored 108 points to win their division.

Seventh grade boys also won their division, scoring 94 points. The eighth grade girls finished second with 86 points. Kimber Hardey set a league record in the shot put with a heave of 34 feet, three and one-half inches.

Seventh grade girls finished with 44 points.
