Naomi Wendt
Naomi Wendt, 87, died March 25, 2005, at Lutheran Care Home, Herington.
Born Jan. 5, 1918, at Woodbine, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Langhofer) Riffel.
On May 7, 1939, she married Hugo Wendt at Navarre. He died in January 2005.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Wendt; six brothers; and her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Wendt of Herington and Rick Wendt of Leon; two daughters, Phyllis Mackovic of LaQuinta, Calif., and Pam Holt of Plano, Texas; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington, with the Rev. Alix Pridgen officiating.
Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.
Memorial funds have been established with the Parkinson's Foundation or Hospice of Dickinson County.
