Nascar races into Marion

Gretchen Unruh of Western Associates packages one of 4,200 Nascar sweatshirts to be distributed throughout the country at different races during the 2005 season. Western Associates designed the sweatshirts this past week for six drivers of Roush Racing Team; Greg Biffel, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Mark Martin, and Ryan Newman and one Penske racer, Carl Edwards. The process took about eight days for Western Associates' sister company Western Graphics to complete. The last leg of the process consisted of five workers tagging the shirts with a team caliber, placing a Nascar hologram sticker on the bags, folding the shirts, placing them in bags, and boxing the shirts. After arriving at Roush Racing headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., the shirts will leave on a truck and travel to each race to be sold to fans.
