Nora Crawshaw

Nora May Crawshaw, 88, of Topeka, died Nov. 6, 2004, at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.

Born Jan. 24, 1916, she was the daughter of Herbert and Bertha (Smith) Teel.

She was a homemaker and worked for the State of Kansas before retiring in 1979. She also worked at various jobs in the Maple Hill community.

On Feb. 13, 1937, she married Woodrow Crawshaw in Topeka. He died in 2003.

She also was preceded in death by a son, Herbert; a brother, Harold Teel; three sisters, Sabina Kelley, Martha Ridgeway, and Marjorie Ridgeway; a stepsister, Leila Holeman; four stepbrothers, Clarence, Elmer, Chester, and Cody Crawshaw.

Survivors include four sons, Woodrow Crawshaw Jr., of Marion, Ronnie Crawshaw of Cottonwood Falls, Lester Crawshaw of Mayetta, and Joseph Crawshaw of Newport, R.I.; a stepbrother, Franklin Crawshaw of Perry; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Maple Hill Community Church. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.

A memorial fund was established with the church.
