Olathe church is setting for Mueller-Schlef nuptials

Kerri Marie Mueller of Overland Park and Eric Daniel Schlef of Wellsville were married at 2 p.m. Jan. 7 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Olathe.

The Rev. Calvin Reinke officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Alan and Cindy Mueller of Assaria and Fred and Doris Schlef of O'Fallon, Mo.

Grandparents are Marguerite Jirak of Lincolnville and the late Marion Jirak, Maxine Mueller of Tampa and the late Werner "Bing" Mueller, and Melba Boeschen of Concordia, Mo.

Chris Krampe of Lawrence was the organist.

Candles were lighted by Garrett and Courtney Sager of Salina.

Attending the bride as her honor attendants were her sisters, Ashley Mueller of Manhattan and Chelsey Mueller of Assaria.

The groom was attended by his sister, Cassandra Schlef of Concordia, Mo., and Mark Boeschen of Kandiyohi, Minn.

Taylor Plett of Hillsboro and Katie Gilmore of Springfield, Va., were flower girls.

Guests were seated by Matthew Jirak of Winfield, Kevin Mueller of Tampa, and Andy Kannenberg and Nolan Van Folken, both of Olathe.

The reception was held at the Holiday Inn, Olathe, and was hosted by Rich and Susie Mueller of Mentor. Serving the reception were Becky Jones of Solomon, Kim Klein and Barb Mueller of Salina, Kelly Montgomery of Lindsborg, and Sharyn Mueller of Olathe.

Cassie Jones of Solomon was in charge of the guest book. Michael Montgomery of Lindsborg and Kyler Sager of Salina were in charge of gifts. Instrumental guitar music was provided by Steve Jirak of Lindsborg.

The bride is a graduate of Southeast of Saline High School, rural Gypsum, and Kansas State University, Manhattan, where she received a degree in business administration. She currently is working on her MBA at Mid-America Nazarene College, Overland Park, and is employed at the home office of Waddell & Reed, Overland Park, as a customer service representative.

Her husband graduated from Wentzville High School, O'Fallon, Mo., and holds a degree in engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He is a software engineer at Garmin in Olathe and is a private pilot.

Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple lives in Wellsville.

Rehearsal dinner

A traditional Kansas City barbecue meal was served to the wedding party, family, and friends following the wedding rehearsal.
