Olive Delka

Olive Esther Delka, 88, died May 7, 2006, at her home in Bostwick, Neb.

Born July 14, 1917, at Cedar Bluffs, she was the daughter of John and Lillie (Apple) Smith.

On April 13, 1935, she married Harold Delka at Alma, Neb.

She drove a school bus for several years in the Superior, Neb., schools and was a janitor for Hardy, Neb., schools. She also cooked and cleaned at the Superior Good Samaritan Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Letha Hitchcock; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.

Survivors include her children, Neil Delka of Ronoke, Texas, Don Delka of Hardy, Neb., Ted Delka and Bill Delka of Guide Rock, Neb., Frank Delka and Dale Delka of Beloit, Ray Delka of Roca, Neb., Elaine Delka of Mason City, Iowa, Betty Ehlers of Marion, Joe Delka of Nashville, Tenn., and Doris Epke of Schoenchen; 32 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel, Superior, Neb., with Pastor Lance Shafer officiating. Burial will be in Bostwick Cemetery, Bostwick, Neb.
