LETTERS: Park project explained years ago
To the Editor:
The Central Park Improvement Committee would like to clarify that we are raising funds in an effort to replace the wooden playground equipment in Central Park.
Our plans do not include removing anything other than the wooden playground equipment. Like many others, we enjoyed the old merry go round when we were kids and consider that a very important part of our park.
We are very fortunate to have such a beautiful park located in the center of our community. We have begun this fund-raising committee in order to give back a small piece of the enjoyment that has been given to us for so many years. We welcome all those that would like to join us in the effort.
