Pastors appointed to area Methodist churches
Beginning July 1, several United Methodist churches in Marion County will have new ministers.
Phil Smith has been appointed pastor of Valley United Methodist Church, Marion, and Lincolnville United Methodist Church. He will replace Kennedy Mukwindidza who has been pastor for the past four years.
Smith previously was pastor at Great Bend.
Mukwindidza has been appointed to the Quinter-Grinnell church.
Nancy Lambing has been appointed pastor of Hillsboro United Methodist Church. She previously was pastor at Halstead.
Hillsboro pastor R. Laney Kuhn has been appointed to the Haysville church.
Bethann Black received her first appointment in Kansas at the United Methodist churches of Florence and Aulne.
Appointments are made annually during the May conference and run through June the following year.
