Peggy Lou Lake
Peggy Lou Lake, 62, died Aug. 13, 2004, at Marion.
Born Feb. 11, 1942, at Oklahoma City, Okla., she was the daughter of Ransom and Mary (Burnett) Niece.
She married Richard Lake on Aug. 28, 1980, at Wichita.
She was a pet groomer and enjoyed writing poetry, gardening, and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Niece; and two sisters, Patricia and Shirley.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; stepson, Danny Bettinger of McAllister, Okla.; a daughter, Rhonda Scott of Valley Center; stepdaughter, Judy Bettinger of Mand, Okla.; brother, Ranny Niece of Oregon; stepsister, Dorothy Manouse of California; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Baker Funeral Home, Peabody, with Chaplain Karen Andres officiating.
A memorial fund has been established with Central Home Care and Hospice, Newton.
