Pontious, Duerksen are married

Linessa Joy Duerksen of Goessel and Justin Earl Pontious of Newton were married Sept. 22, 2007, at Pilsen Community Center.

Judge Richard Walker of Newton officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Doug and Lisa Duerksen of Goessel. The groom is the son of Ron and Roberta McGlachlin of Newton.

Rinda Duerksen of Goessel was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Blandin and Raeanne Casey, both of Newton.

Brandon McGlachlin of Newton served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were the bride's brother, Derrek Duerksen of Goessel and Lee Curle and Tristan Schmitz, both of Newton.

Allison Blandin of Newton was the flower girl. The groom's nephew, Matthew Eldridge was the ring bearer.

Guests were seated by Tristan Schmitz and Andy Walker.

A reception and dance followed the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of Goessel High School and is employed at Bethesda Home, Goessel.

Her husband is a graduate of Newton High School and is employed by R. Messner Construction of Wichita.

The couple lives in Newton.
