Prairie Rose Wranglers to spotlight Florence Labor Day Activities

The Prairie Rose Wranglers will be the featured entertainment in Florence Sept. 2 during the Labor Day celebration. They are scheduled to perform at 6:30 p.m. on the Main Stage on Main Street. A $4 Florence Labor Day button is required for admission. Bring lawn chairs.

The Prairie Rose Wranglers, formed in 1999 to entertain at the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper, offer the best in cowboy entertainment. They perform western music of the silver-screen cowboy era, such as "Cool Water," "Tumbling Tumbleweeds," and "Ghost Riders In The Sky," as well as classic cowboy trail songs and Prairie Rose Wranglers originals.

The Prairie Rose Wranglers are in demand, not only for their own shows at the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper and around the country, but also as recording and performing backup for stars like Roy Rogers Jr., Rex Allen Jr., and Johnny Western.

They have performed on the Western Music Awards Show in Las Vegas, and hosted the Great American Cowboy In Concert at Carnegie Hall in 2003 and 2004.

The Prairie Rose Wranglers maintain a busy schedule. In 2006, they headlined their third annual Cowboy Cruise, and made history as they took cowboy music, for the first time ever, to China. They also maintain a heavy studio schedule, backing dozens and dozens of singers. They have recorded 10 albums of their own as well as a soundtrack for a national TV documentary.
