Ramona s California Sisters release new book
The California Sisters of Ramona have released their latest book, "Another Day in the Country." This 140-page hardback coffee-table book contains nostalgic country vignettes with full page color photographs that Pat Wick has taken documenting country life.
Those who pre-ordered "Another Day in the Country" started receiving them in the mail this past week.
"I wanted to sit right down and read it from cover to cover but I decided to read just a few stories at a time — like savoring fine chocolate, bit by bit," said Rita Hensley of Winfield.
"It's beautiful," said Vicki Schubert of Denver, Colo., "you've captured the essence of Ramona and put it between the covers of a book. We love it! Your book continues to enchant us as we read the stories and gaze at the beautiful pictures. It truly is a gift to all who read it."
There will be a book signing from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Thee Bookstore, 117 N. Main, Hillsboro. Pat and Jess, those girls from California, will be present to autograph books.
They will host a book-signing from 3 to 5 p.m. Dec. 3 at Jack Rabbit Hollow, Peabody.
They will present a copy of "Another Day in the Country" to Marion City Library and will be signing books from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 5.
The book will be available for sale at Thee Bookstore, Hillsboro, Tampa State Bank in Marion and Tampa, Jackrabbit Hollow, Peabody, The Barbershop Gallery in Ramona, or by calling the California Sisters at 785-965-7110.
