Sisters! I come from a family of five girls and one boy. I was the oldest so my mother tried to encourage me to be a good model. I wasn't too wild about that. They played with my stuff, followed me around, and dressed up in my clothes. Wearing my clothes was the worst.

As we grew older we got closer, with some of the same interests. Boys probably!

This morning I received a package from my sister, Marge. What a surprise! She had copied all of my articles and bound them in a book. What a task that must have been. I've been writing every week for the Marion County Record since 1998. Well, I was just floored! Surely that was beyond the call of duty. What a gal. I wish I could do something nice for her.

Marge at one time gathered family recipes and made a book. That was while our mother was still here. Then later she compiled a family history. She had put family pictures in it too.

She says she is through, but I'm going to wait for the next book.

I hope you all appreciate your sisters, if you have any. How great they are, even if they don't all make books.

Margie, you are one of a kind!
