Hold up your hands if you watch the Lawrence Welk show on TV. My mother used to watch it and I'd say, "Mother, that is so corny." Guess who listens to it now.

The hospital auxiliary put on a fine banquet and a great program Thursday. The program consisted of a style show. The clothing worn was chosen from the auxiliary store of used clothing. The clothing was stylish and attractive, even some was modeled by men. It is amazing what that shop has done. They are open only on Friday and Saturday (all volunteer workers) and have made enough money to buy a fine van for the hospital to use.

I saw where it is said that wild hogs around Lawrence should be eliminated. Aren't they in the wrong location? I thought the agriculture college was K-State? I went to a banquet there several years ago and small roasted pigs graced every long table. At one time, my sister Marge dated a student from there. He was a fraternity man and at one of their parties it was required to dress a roasted pig.

Did you se the pictures and write-up in the Wichita Eagle about the two sisters who came from California to revive their old hometown, Ramona? Every spring they have a wonderful tea party. I must make a reservation before it is too late. What an amazing story. They have purchased and restored a number of buildings there. I'm sure a lot of the little towns about to fade away would love to have someone revive their town.
