Random Thoughts

Brace yourselves. You will soon see me in my "spittin' image" on Channel 10 TV. Can you believe that? I can't. Larry Hatteberg persuaded me to be one of his "people." He can be very persuasive. He is a nice man and very accomplished.

There were lights, cameras, and microphones all over my house and I mean all over. He asked me to show him where I sat when I wrote my articles. I told him, "the kitchen." Guess what? He wanted me to show him. I was horrified, because my kitchen is the "catch-all" place. Everything is right in front of your face — pills, correspondence, food, utensils, houseplants, magazines, you name it — it's right there. My children are going to disown me.

I'm not "nobody" (Dickinson poem) anymore. I'm a celebrity. Deal with it!

Just when you think life is dull and commonplace, something pops up to change the picture. Scandal especially tops the news. Poor Anna Nicole Smith. Somewhere she lost her way and look at what happened. I feel sorry for her poor baby. What will her life be like? Where is Solomon when we need him?

My tulips are stirring. Will they make it through the cold weather yet to come? I guess they will have to accept what comes, like the rest of us.
