Random Thoughts
There seems to be exciting and troublesome news all over the place. Some of the news is interesting in that the Pope is visiting our country. Every time he appears on TV he is wearing different clothing. Some of it is very elaborate, gorgeous materials and colorful or white. It is quite fascinating. I'm sure every piece of clothing has some meaning. Then there is his special car with bullet-proof glass windows. He has a pleasant face, often smiling.
I read about a nun who as a teacher was trying to train her students to be proper in their performances. She read from a long list of curse words that were not acceptable among civilized people. She didn't miss a word. It was really shocking, especially for some of the parents.
There is the story about the cult in Texas where more than 400 young children have been taken from their mothers and held in a large building. It is believed that some have been abused. The mothers are unhappy and trying to get the children returned to them. The police officers are probably disturbed at carrying out their orders. I expect they are wishing for a Solomon here to take charge and make decisions. Let's hope nothing will be done to harm the children's futures.
