Random thoughts

All right, so I am the queen of clutter. I think I have a good excuse, since I am sort of an invalid. I keep adding things that make you more comfortable. Then too, you let things stack up and before you know it, you are completely submerged. Your living room almost becomes a hospital room. I sort of agree with Barbara Bush. When she became the lady of the White House, she said, "What you see is what you get."

Anyway, my family and friends are very kind and don't suggest or criticize. I really could use a secretary to help dispose of the mail. I think everyone in the U.S. has my address and writes to me asking for contributions.

One time I had a man work in my yard while I was at the office. When I got home I found my garage spic-and-span. I never did know what he discarded. What you don't know doesn't hurt you.

Who said we have global warming? Here it is, Saturday, July 12, and I'm freezing.

I was reading an article about the Antiques Road Show on TV. I enjoy watching it and try to imagine I have some very valuable antiques.

An aunt of my husband inherited some really nice antiques. One time she was gone a few days. When she returned home she found every antique piece gone. Nothing else was taken, so the thief knew exactly what he wanted. He must have had help as the furniture was large. It was never recovered.
