Random Thoughts

My family reunion in Oregon is over and all my family is back in their places. They report a wonderful time by all. Some of the events were riding horseback on the beach, playing golf, and deep sea fishing. Their guide who took them on the boat said that many times they caught nothing, but this group caught 23 wonderful big salmon. Mike Thomas said it was like spending four hours in heaven. My mouth watered when I saw the pictures of them grilling the delicious "critters!"

I received a lot of gifts from the area. Someone sent preserves made from Marion berries grown in the area, also a jar of wild huckleberry jelly and other goodies.

I remember once when I was there, there had the most delicious homegrown peaches. Oregon is a wonderful state.

Are you a pet lover? I just read about some people who chained themselves up to see what their dogs experience while tied up for the day while the family has gone to work. The dogs were allowed to be loose in the yard. The dogs had a great time playing and frolicking while their owners suffered being restricted. Maybe they had no water or food. I don't know if they will do anything about it but now at least they know what their pets go through.
