Random Thoughts

Summer days are here and I'm glad I have a comfortable, cool spot. I'm comfortable because the home health ladies take good care of me. They come every morning with bright, smiling faces, make my breakfast, make my bed, do light housekeeping chores, check my pills, and maybe take my vitals. They make my day. Then at noon, some nice gentleman brings my lunch on wheels. What more can I ask? Besides, it gives my family a chance to live their lives without worrying about me.

Oh yes, I'm cool because of my good, old air conditioner.

Can women have it all? I saw a program the other day about working mothers. Most of them thought they could work, manage a home, and family. They felt they became more interesting and felt involved in everyday life. I do know a woman who had a job, raised four children, and was a good wife. The children grew up, educated and ready to tackle their own lives. I suppose there are some who couldn't handle it. They need an education and a strong personality and faith in their own plans.

I must get back to weird news. Did you hear about the man who cut off the head of a snake? When he tried to pick it up the head bit him and he had to have anti-snake poisoning medication. I have heard that if you cut a snake in two it becomes two snakes.
