Soup's on! This cool October weather says it's time. My son-in-law, Bob is a great soup maker. He tries new recipes, no bean, potato, or vegetable soup for him. We just had some of his creation. I don't know the exact contents but I know there were bits of sausage, onion, tomato, and chopped artichokes. Very good. Special spices enhanced the flavor.

How would you like to be standing calmly washing your hand in the bathroom lavatory and your eyes detect something moving in the bathroom stool? On closer observation you see a huge python therein. I'm sure she screamed. You would, too. She did have sense enough to close the lid and place something heavy on it. She called the right people, probably city employees. They came, captured the trespasser, and delivered him to a snake lover.

Everyone has their own snake stories. One summer evening, I had just finished washing the dishes and stepped out on my front porch. It was dusk but I noticed something lying along the back of the swing. I was ready to go sit there and enjoy an evening of swinging gently back and forth. I quickly changed my mind and called my next door neighbor. He came over with a hoe, captured the snake, took it out in the yard, and sent it to snake heaven. The neighbor was a minister, so I'm sure he did it as kindly as he could.
