Random Thoughts: New baby is 'darling'

Is there anything more wonderful than a tiny baby? If there is, I don't know what it is. My newest little one came to see me this afternoon (Friday). I was so pleased. Little Andy Helmer and his mother Kristina, daddy Mike, and his proud grandmother, Sally Hannaford came to call. What a darling little boy.

His daddy, Mike is a basketball coach of a girls' team at South High School in Wichita. They have been very successful, so Mike was proud of that, too.

I'm just about through reading the book, "Ike." It goes into great detail about Ike Eisenhower and World War II. Very interesting. I recommend it. The writer is Michael Korda, published in 2007.

My friend and hair "fixer," Betty Stenzel fell down some stairs and broke her leg. I'm sure she is not happy about that. No one likes a forced vacation.

The schools are enjoying spring break. I hope the young people will be wise in taking care of themselves.

I keep thinking of the young girl who, two years ago, disappeared in Aruba. She and her classmates went there to have a good time and she vanished. Nothing has ever appeared to give a hint as to what happened to her. Scary!
