LETTERS:   Recycling idea can benefit Girl Scouts years ago

To the Editor:

With the recent hail storm that caused damage to roofs, guttering, and anything else that was outside, I had a revelation. We are in the process of replacing our hail-battered guttering. It is made from aluminum. We will be donating our old guttering to the Girl Scouts for recycling. We have approximately $50 worth of waste guttering, just from our house, that can benefit our local scouts.

I would like to encourage all of you who are in the same position as we are to consider donating the aluminum.

What an awesome deal! We keep the guttering out of the landfill and benefit the young people of our community.
