Regionals and sub-state seedings
Volleyball at Marion; cross country at Halstead
Playoffs for both Marion High School cross country and volleyball begin Saturday.
Volleyball will kick off the sub-state tournament at 1 p.m. Saturday at the MHS gym. The winner of the eight-team tournament will advance to state competition Oct. 29-30 at Salina.
MHS cross country will run at the Halstead regional Saturday. The girls' race begins at 3 p.m. followed by the boys' race at 4 p.m.
The top three teams from the regional will advance to state competition, as well as the top 10 individuals who are not members of the three advancing teams.
The state race will be Oct. 30 at Wamego Country Club.
