Restauranteur again plans Don t be alone for Christmas dinner
A popular Christmas Day tradition continues to grow each year at Chuck Wagon restaurant in Florence.
Owner Linda Britton serves a free Christmas dinner to people in the area who might find themselves alone on Christmas Day.
"I don't want anyone to be by themselves," said Britton. "We will have a traditional Christmas meal with turkey, dressing, all the trimmings, and dessert. There is no charge to anyone who wants to join us. Everyone — EVERYONE — is welcome."
Britton will serve the meal from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at her restaurant in Florence, situated at Fifth and Main streets.
"No one needs to bring anything, no one needs to pay," she said. "Just come celebrate with us and enjoy the food and company. Don't be alone on Christmas Day."
