Richard Martens
Richard Gene Martens, 59, Moundridge, was born Aug. 15, 1948, to George and Maurine (Stubby) Martens at Hillsboro.
He died Aug. 26, 2007, at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge.
He received his elementary education at Roxbury and graduated from Hillsboro High School.
He married Nancy Driggers on March 8, 1968.
He was employed by Moridge Manufacturing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; brother, Milford; and father, George.
Survivors include his mother, Maurine Martens of Hillsboro; son, Jim Martens of McPherson; daughter, Sheila Martens and John Unrein of Moundridge; brothers, Clifford Martens of Decatur, Ala., and Kenny and Peggy Martens of Inman; and three grandchildren, Nathan, Micaela, and Timothy.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lehigh Mennonite Cemetery with Pastor Galen Drier officiating.
Visitation is at Jost Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial funds include a tree fund for the Lehigh Cemetery in care of Alexanderwohl Church or Hospice Care of Kansas.
