Rita Stuchlik, Kelby Schawe are wed in July 23 ceremony years ago
Rita Marie Stuchlik and Kelby Anthony Schawe, both of Wichita, were united in marriage at 2 p.m. July 23 at St. John Nep. Church, Pilsen.
The groom's brother, Fr. Wesley Schawe, associate pastor of Our Lady of Guadelupe Cathedral, Dodge City, officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Alex and Jean Stuchlik of Lost Springs and Leroy and Donna Schawe of Dodge City.
Rose Bryan of Wichita and Thomas Clegg of Salina were vocalists. Charlene Svitak of Pilsen was organist.
Derek Stuchlik of Pilsen and Charles and Timothy Stuchlik of Lincolnville were servers.
Escorted down the aisle by her father, the bride wore a gown of white bridal satin and carried a bouquet of daisies, astromeria, and pixie carnations.
Jaime Prideaux of Chanute was the matron of honor. The bride's sisters, Debra Burns of Wichita and Diann Ensz of Keller, Texas, and a friend, Myle Oblinger of Wichita, were bridesmaids.
The bride's niece, Maria Stuchlik of Pilsen was the flower girl.
The groom's nephew, Luke Schawe of Wichita, was the ring bearer.
Jeff Schawe of Wichita served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Randy, Galen, and Brian Schawe. All are brothers of the groom.
Guests were seated by Gary Stuchlik of Pilsen, Chris Stuchlik of Lincolnville, Travis Ackerman of Goddard, and Shaun Conway of Wichita.
Onie Paksin of Wichita and Karla Hackerott of Atchison were guest book attendants.
Amanda Stuchlik of Pilsen and Sarah and Therese Burns of Wichita were in charge of programs.
A reception was held in the Pilsen Community Center.
Reception attendants were Melissa Stuchlik, who made the wedding cake, JoAnn Stuchlik, Jaque Schawe, Laura Schawe, and Lisa Schawe.
The bride is a graduate of Centre High School and Kansas State University. She received a master's degree from Wichita State University and is a speech language pathologist with Wichita Public Schools.
Her husband is a graduate of Dodge City High School and Kansas State University. He is garden center manager at Brady Nursery, Wichita.
Following a wedding trip to Englewood, Fla., the couple lives in Wichita.
