Robert Edmunds
Robert Stanley Edmunds, 80, of Marion, died Dec. 5, 2006.
Born Sept. 30, 1926, at Marion, he was the son of John and Ellen (Meredith) Edmunds.
He grew up in Marion, graduating from Marion High School in 1945.
He worked at various jobs. He was a car salesman for Cook Motor Company and later worked for Irv Schroeder County Motors, Hillsboro, retiring in 1991 after 20 years of service.
On Dec. 27, 1951, he married Pauline Best at Marion.
He was a member of Valley United Methodist Church, Marion, where he sang in the church choir and served a variety of positions.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Donald, John, and William; sister, Margaret Jones; twin siblings who died in infancy, Max and Maxine; and a granddaughter, Katie Ann Edmunds.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Diane Edmunds of Covington, Ky.; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Phil Logsdon of Edmond, Okla.; sister, Dolores Ottensmeier of Marion; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Valley United Methodist Church, Marion. Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established with the church.
