Robert Gayles to observe anniversary
Robert and Cecilia Gayle of Florence will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 2 with a Mass, reception, and open house at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Florence.
The celebration will begin at 1 p.m. with a Mass and renewal of marriage vows at the church. A reception and open house will follow in the church basement. Everyone is invited to attend.
Robert Bartlett Gayle and Cecilia Mary Lalouette were married Oct. 2, 1954, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Petersburg, Va. They have lived in Florence since 1961.
The couple has six children, Bob Jr., Maria, Joseph, Stephen, David, and Amber, and 17 grandchildren.
