Robert Kleinschmidt

Robert A. "Bob" Kleinschmidt, 64, of Lincolnville, died June 26, 2007, at Vail, Colo.

Born Oct. 16, 1942, at Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of Alvin and Madalene (Bailey) Kleinschmidt.

On Aug. 8, 1964, he married Arlene Thomsen at Lincoln.

He spent 32 years in the teaching profession, retiring from Centre High School in 1995. He also served as a coach and bus driver. For many years, he owned and operated Bob's Carwash and Bob's Electronic and Tractor Service at Lincolnville. Following his retirement from teaching, he was a machinist at Marion Manufacturing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene of Lincolnville; two daughters, Kelli Walker of Manhattan and Holly Erway of Salem, Mo.; son, Jeff Kleinschmidt of Shawnee; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday morning at St. John's Lutheran Church, Lincolnville, with the Rev. Alan Stahlecker officiating.

Burial was in Vesper Cemetery, Vesper.

A memorial fund has been established with the church.
