Robert Mathiot

Robert M. Mathiot, 71, died April 30, 2006, at Meadowlark Retirement Community-Ptacek House, Manhattan.

Born June 25, 1934, at Peabody, he was the son of Robert and Bertha (Shockley) Mathiot.

On June 24, 1956, he married Nancy Tyree.

He was a self-employed maintenance specialist.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Joan of Manhattan; daughter, Mary Mathoit of Manhattan; three sons, Robert Mathiot of Shawnee, Greg Mathiot of Versailles, Mo., and Mark Mathiot of Manhattan; two sisters, Lois Chill and Imogene Henson, both of Guymon, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, Manhattan, with the Rev. Neil Engle officiating.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.

Memorial funds have been established with First Christian Church, Manhattan, or American Parkinson Disease Foundation.
