Rose McElhiney
Rose M. McElhiney, 73, of El Dorado, died Sept. 15, 2006, at Via Christi St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
Born March 22, 1933, at Aulne, she was the daughter of Alfred and Eunice (Dowell) Hansen.
On June 5, 1954, she married LeRoy McElhiney at El Dorado.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Robert.
Survivors include three sons, David of El Dorado, Douglas of Peabody, and Daniel of Wichita; daughter, Margaret Cravens of El Dorado; brother, Francis Hansen of Medicine Lodge; sister, Anna Hanson of Peabody; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion, with Pastor Dennis Clough officiating.
Burial was in Claney Cemetery, rural Marion.
A memorial fund has been established with the Kansas Peace Officers Association.
