Ruth E. Kissel
Ruth E. Kissel, 84, died Oct. 1, 2006, at St. Luke Living Center, Marion, where she had been a resident for a number of years.
The daughter of Paul B. and Olive C. Wood, she was born March 12, 1922, on the family farm near Elmdale.
She was a teacher and a homemaker.
Survivors include two brothers, Earl Wood of Marion and Stan Wood of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; two sisters, Janet Wood of Cypress, Calif., and Pauline Ferrell, Council Grove; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Eastmoor United Methodist Church.
She was cremated.
Pastor Rick Branson will conduct a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Elmdale Cemetery Church.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for St. Luke Living Center chapel.
