Ruth Jacobson
Ruth Marjorie Jacobson, 87, died July 15, 2007, at Schowalter Villa, Hesston.
Born Feb. 19, 1920, at East Orange, N.J., she was the daughter of Harry and Anna (Graham) Butts.
On Dec. 6, 1945, she married James Jacobson at Miango, Nigeria, West Africa. He died in 1981.
She was a missionary for more than 30 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Lillian Claassen, Phyllis Mithen, Charlotte Giebel, and Nancy Immitt; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Monday at Schowalter Villa Chapel with Chaplain Nancy Walker and Chaplain Beverly Baumgartner officiating.
Burial was in New York.
Memorial funds have been established with Serving In Mission (SIM) or Schowalter Villa Good Samaritan Fund.
