Sassy Senior Moments

By JANET BRYANT

Senior center reporter

This may be the year of unending winter! Just a reminder to watch your TV for school closings, especially if you get Meals on Wheels. The fact that I did not look at the TV or my answering machine at home Feb. 6 and came to work means I'm not a good example. The next day there were 12 messages on the answering machine at the senior center, mostly wondering where lunch was.

A lot of us wore red Feb. 1 for Go Red for Women Day. It was the day to take a stand against the number-one killer of women, heart disease.

We have a variety of aprons for sale at the craft corner.

One of the candidates for Marion City Council introduced herself Feb. 5. Candidates are welcome to come eat with us any time. There will be a city council candidate forum Sunday at the senior center.

Come join us for lunch Thursday and stay for the program by Sue Clough and Madonna Schafers. Come again on Senior Center Day Feb. 20. There will be a program after lunch.
