Now that the weather is turning more fall-like, we invite you to come in for such good, cool weather meals as chili, enchiladas, and lasagna. Check the menus in this newspaper.

The craft corner had a big day Oct. 5, selling more than $200 in merchandise to one eager customer. Evelyn Jewett was beaming with satisfaction. The embroidered tea towels are big sellers. We will be having Christmas wreaths for sale soon. These are made by people who come in to eat daily.

We're also signing up for poodle skirts to be made for us to wear on Elvis' birthday, Jan. 8. Call if you want one!

Herman and Iva Unruh celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary Oct. 9. Ellen Darrow read a poem she had written for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Jane Vajnar competed Thursday in the first state senior citizens' spelling bee in Salina. One of the judges was Nancy Kassebaum Baker.

We will have our big Marion County Senior Citizens annual meeting Thursday, followed by the trip to Rolling Hills Friday.

Come join us for lunch Oct. 24. Our musical program will be given by Josh and Lisa Wesner.
