Sassy Senior Moments

Blanche and Charlie Cowan are packing up to move and they brought in all sorts of show-and-tell items. One was a Teddy bear stuffed with shredded paper money, a "million-dollar bear."

Albert Steele, who is one of several of our regulars taking a Butler Community College art class, brought in his class assignment to place on our easel.

We celebrated Mickey Mouse's birthday Nov. 17. Albert brought in his Mickey Mouse ears for me to wear. Shirley Bowers brought some of her collection and we sang the official song.

It doesn't take much to make us excited here! One day Sue Clough grabbed the placemats to set the tables and that number exactly matched the number of diners posted. She was ecstatic.

We also learned that old and crabby are good things, signifying intelligence and a large vocabulary.

Our Thanksgiving meal was Nov. 21. Elsie Reiswig had made special placemats with her computer printer. Marilyn Geis brought treats for her Nov. 18 birthday. We had a turkey day quiz.

As I write this, Thanksgiving is tomorrow, but we're looking ahead to Christmas. We have a good variety of Christmas napkins for your December club meetings or family gatherings. We also plan on having candy for sale.

Come join us Dec. 6 when our program will be Sharon Smith.
