Sassy Senior Moments

By JANET BRYANT

Senior center reporter

It looks like Christmas at the senior center! We have a big, decorated Christmas tree, a big, lighted wreath, and other holiday touches. Wilma Gilmer and Shirley Bowers helped create this atmosphere. Much of it was done in preparation for St. Luke Hospital's Christmas party, held here Dec. 1.

We played "message in the munchies" one day. Supposedly a person's choice of snacks indicates their personality.

We began a series of blonde jokes, which brought forth a mild protest from the blonde in our center.

Come to the center Tuesday and we'll sing carols after lunch. Sue Clough and Shirley Bowers led our first carol singing Dec. 4.

Evelyn Jewett brought in her Martha Stewart Christmas card. Not from Ms. Stewart herself, but one of her line of greeting cards.

Rowena Olsen, an avid angel collector, wears an angel every day during December, either on clothing or as jewelry.

Come join us for lunch Dec. 19, Senior Center Day, with our own talent giving the musical program.

Please note that we will have brunch at 10:30 a.m. Christmas Eve instead of lunch at noon. Delivered meals will go out at 9:30 a.m. instead of 11.
