Sassy senior moments: Last minute gifts still available

Dec. 8-14

We're enjoying everything about the Christmas season. We have a table of gifts to buy for those last minute specials. We have crocheted angels and also hand-crafted manger scenes made by Virginia Bowers.

There is a display table of Shirley Bowers' nativity collection, a small part of it. There are various forms of the nativity scene. Come look.

We also had some of Ellen Darrow's Christmas card collection on display.

Peg Edwardson brought treats one day for no reason at all.

We welcomed Nora Richter as a dining room volunteer.

Shirley Bowers led carol singing Wednesday. She previously had us vote on favorite contemporary and Christmas carols. The number one carol was "Silent Night" while the modern choice was "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." Ellen Darrow was her accompanist.

Join us for Christmas dinner Thursday. Then come Dec. 28 for a program featuring a do-it-ourselves mystery drama complete with sound effects.

As I write this, Henrietta Waner is playing Christmas songs on the piano as several people enjoy our second coffee break of the day.
