Sassy Senior Moments: Mystery puzzle being solved

By JANET BRYANT

We started a new mystery jigsaw puzzle, "The Masquerade Murder." After finally finishing a 2,000-piece puzzle, this 500-piece is easy.

We celebrated Connie Fisher's birthday and Herman and Iva Unruh's 68th wedding anniversary this week.

Albert Steele brought two paintings — a mountain scene and a Southwest theme.

Kim Shields donned her umpire's uniform Oct. 6 and told about her experiences as a female umpire.

Thelma Blosser brought a jar of apple butter which was enjoyed with biscuits. Shirley Bowers shared home-grown green peppers.

Retired personnel of St. Luke Hospital ate with us Oct. 11.

We all enjoyed the program by Gary Mason of Emporia. He had worked in India with Mother Teresa and has returned to India several times.

A trip is planned Nov. 9 to the Crown Uptown Dinner Theater in Wichita to see the matinee performance of the musical "Singin in the Rain."

Jordan Timm will present a musical program at the center Oct. 25.
