Sassy senior moments: Seniors are grateful for students help

We want to publicly thank the Marion High School students who raked leaves Saturday for people. It was a daunting task, with the wind blowing leaves back as fast as they raked.

We helped Larry and Thelma Blosser Thursday celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary.

The senior citizens group elected new officers on Senior Center Day. Estelle McCarty was elected secretary and Herb Jackson, treasurer. Iva Unruh and Mary Hett were thanked for years of service. Marilyn Geis remains president and Ivanlee Timm, vice president.

Jim Hett sang patriotic songs for Senior Center Day. He also recited the Gettysburg Address.

Join us for lunch Wednesday when city librarian Janet Marler will bring Christmas-themed books from the library to share with us.
