Sassy Senior Moments: Seniors look forward to leisurely summer

By JANET BRYANT

We've made it through (almost) the busy month of May and expect to enjoy a leisurely summer. We do have special days planned: Apron Day, June 27; National Day of the Cowboy, July 27; and a Mexican fiesta in August. Watch this column for more information.

Senior Center Day was May 17. Marilyn Geis entertained with her keyboard. Election of a new president will take place in June.

Hug Your Cat Day was May 18. We know several people who probably do that every day.

Judge Michael Powers addressed the group May 23. Residents of Hilltop Manor were in attendance, giving us a nice crowd.

Join us June 6 when a representative of CASA (court-appointed special advocate) will speak.

Come June 7 when Marion County Retired School Personnel will eat with us. Estelle McCarty will give a musical program following lunch.
