Seacat s store changes from True Value to Do-it-Best
Seacat Hardware of Marion has changed cooperatives.
Doit-Best products now are being offered to retail customers.
"It was a good move for us to make," said Brad Seacat, owner.
Do-it-Best products also include Sherwin-Williams paint and supplies.
"It's important to us to continue to offer quality products and services," said Anita Seacat, owner. "Sherwin-Williams is a brand most people know and trust."
Do-it-Best is one of the largest cooperatives in the industry, and the only full-service hardware and lumber cooperative in the country.
The couple will continue to sell True Value products until the stock is depleted. In the meantime, Do-it-Best products will be integrated into the inventory.
Cooperative offices for the co-op are located in Fort Wayne, Ind. There are 4,100 stores in the U.S. and 38 countries, with 65 in Kansas.
