Senator Barnett to visit Marion County

State Senator Jim Barnett will be in Marion County Oct. 5.

The Republican represents the 17th District and is seeking re-election Nov. 2 in the general election.

Barnett will briefly speak at various locations throughout the county and will allow time for questions.

He will begin the day at Florence, meeting constituents from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. at the senior center.

His next stop will be from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at Burns Senior Center, where coffee and rolls will be served.

From 10:40 to 11:30 a.m., Barnett will speak at the Peabody City Building.

Lunch will be at noon at the Olde Town Restaurant, Hillsboro. Following lunch, he will speak from 1:15 to 2 p.m. at the Hillsboro Senior Center.

Barnett then will travel to Lincolnville where he will meet voters from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. at the park.

He will conclude his Marion County tour with a final stop from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. at Marion Senior Center.
