Shirley Beisel
Shirley Beisel, 69, of Herington, died Jan. 16, 2008.
Born Jan. 27, 1938, at Riverton, Iowa, she was the daughter of Ancel and Nettie (Powers) Baker.
She served in the U.S. Air Force with the medical corps as a staff sergeant.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Hubert, Joe, Fred, and Warren Baker; and her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Jack of Herington; son, Tyson of Oak Creek, Wis.; three brothers, Ore Baker of Milwaukee, Ore., Tom Fleming of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Ray Fleming of Gooding, Idaho; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday afternoon at the First Christian Church, Herington. Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
Memorial funds have been established with the First Christian Church or Dickinson County Hospice.
