LETTERS: Shop at home years ago
To the Editor:
It happened in Cottonwood Falls and it could happen here. Duckwalls closed. The reason: slow sales.
Before you drive by, stop and give a local merchant a chance. Once you are in the store you will be surprised at their competitive prices, large variety, and good quality.
I have heard often the remark, "I didn't know Duckwalls had that."
Stop in, look around.
Shop in town when you can, otherwise you will end up taking "grandma out of town to buy a spool of thread." Older people who do not drive out of town need local stores.
Shop at Duckwalls and help keep that store in Marion.
