Special Christmas dinner planned at Chuck Wagon
Chuck Wagon Café in Florence again will be the site of a free Christmas dinner for anyone who finds themselves alone on Christmas Day.
Owner Linda Britton will serve a homestyle meal from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Christmas Day. She will be serving ham, turkey, oyster dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, and dessert to anyone who would like to enjoy a traditional holiday meal.
"There is no charge," said Britton. "This is my gift to anyone in the county who has no place to go on Christmas Day. The main thing is for no one to be alone."
Chuck Wagon Café is at the corner of Fifth and Main in downtown Florence.
