St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary executive board meets

Mary Ann Conyers discussed the refurbishing of St. Luke Hospital lobby during the Feb. 22 hospital auxiliary executive board meeting.

President Judy Reno conducted the meeting. Six members and three staff were present.

Janet Herzet from home health talked about the Marion County Health Fair set for 8 a.m. until noon March 12 at Marion Elementary School. Some auxiliary members will help with registration.

Linda Kannady announced grants had been received for preparing for mass destruction and bio-terrorism.

The living center schedule for the auxiliary-sponsored monthly social hours has been changed to 2:30 p.m. on the last Tuesday. Evelyn Bredemeier has agreed to coordinate the coffees. Visitors are encouraged to participate. Amy Rasmussen volunteered to read stories to residents.

The board discussed the need for a fund-raiser. Plans are being made for the project.

The president reported attending both the foundation board meeting and the monthly meeting of hospital board of directors.

Art students at Butler of Marion will exhibit art work March 17 in the living center.

The unit meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the clinic conference room. All members, visitors, and interested people are urged to attend.
