The Rev. John Goering of Eastmoor United Methodist Church brought the Sunday service.

Checkers and dominoes were played Monday morning. In the afternoon Ellen Darrow played summertime songs on the piano.

Pretty up day was Tuesday morning. Everyone got fingernails done. They all look so bright and shiny. The hospital auxiliary coffee and tea was held in the afternoon. Sheet cake, cookies, and drinks were served to a large group of residents gathered in the dining room.

Dick Pracht led prayer group Wednesday morning. He always gives such meaningful messages. The Marion County Record was read in the afternoon by Khrista Branson. Snacks and fruit juice were served.

We enjoyed an hour of hymn singing Thursday morning. Khrista took nine residents out for lunch. The afternoon included more outing trips. We toured the county lake and viewed the large homes. I remember when the dam was built. It was done by man and horsepower with scoop and shovels. It was years before any houses were built. People always spoke of their cabins, but now there isn't a cabin. They are mostly two-story and some three-story homes. It is beautiful to drive through the streets.

Cookie baking with Khrista was held Friday morning. We then ate them with hot chocolate milk or coffee. It is a wonderful social time. Everyone taking turns at mixing the dough and dropping it on the cookie sheet. The afternoon was spent playing bingo.

Saturday morning was coffee time for those who wanted. Other enjoyed a special time of just sleeping. The afternoon was spent watching video movies and eating snacks.
