Stamps will increase Monday
The cost of mailing one-ounce, first-class mail will increase Monday from 41 to 42 cents.
The second increase in a year, U.S. Postal Service also will increase the prices of standard mail, periodicals, package services, and special services.
A two-ounce first-class letter will cost 59 cents, postcard 27 cents, first-class mail in a large envelope (2 ounces) $1, and certified mail $2.70.
Customers can continue to use Forever Stamps and can be purchased prior to Monday at the post office for 41 cents. After Monday they will be 42 cents.
The Forever Stamp can be used even after the price increase and are available in booklets of 20.
